About
Meet Nina Kramer
The pursuit of joy and self-discovery is central to my therapy; I employ diverse techniques to create a personalized path for every client. My passion for helping, coupled with a deep belief in connection, is the cornerstone of the care that I provide. I’m all about helping people unlock their inner sunshine! My therapy style is like putting together a personalized puzzle, using different pieces to create a brighter picture for you. I believe in the power of human connection and that everyone has the ability to write their own amazing story.

I know through experience that people have the ability to change: to remove self-limiting beliefs and to embrace a life filled with abundance. This belief and the following encounter propelled me into my career as a Therapist. Through volunteering I mentored a young woman with an extensive trauma history and many mental health issues as a result. I provided support and care and wanted to help more. I felt at a loss! I was able to connect her to people who could help her more and I wanted to be those people!
I was through with my hospitality career (burn-out which I also help my clients with!) and wanted to change directions (which I help my clients do every day!). I went back to school and thought that I'd either teach science fiction and fantasy literature or work in the helping field. Hey, I love to read and write and have an English degree in my back pocket. With my first courses in the school of social work I knew that I had to follow my helping heart (I could have known sooner as I was practicing hypnosis at sleepovers at the age of 12!). I had found what I was meant to do. I am just as passionate today as I was during that first course!

Today, I am that person

I’m here to help you shine your brightest! We’ll work together to untangle life’s knots and find your happy place. I believe everyone has the power to create a life they love, and I’m your personal hype person on that journey.
I’ve got a colorful past, working with all sorts of folks – from turbulent teen times to stressed-out adults, couples on the brink, and families facing storms. I’ve seen it all, and I’m ready to use my experience to help you navigate your own unique path.

I'm dedicated to guiding individuals on their therapeutic journey towards self-discovery and emotional well-being. Through a personalized approach, I aim to empower clients to navigate life's challenges and embrace positive change.

I have worked in school settings as a Family Therapist, ran a treatment facility for substance abuse as a Clinical Director and a Therapist in both adolescent and adult settings, worked in an agency where I helped adults with individual, couples and family challenges and have gleaned an extensive background in psychopathology, medication management, assessment and diagnosis while in a hospital psychiatric setting. I now proudly own and operate Take Care Creative Counseling where I provide the majority of services and also am expanding to a group practice and accepting licensed clinical interns. I love my life-work balance! Work is my meaning and purpose so it is very much my life!

aboutME
“A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times better than a master of one.” ~William Shakespeare

So, you want to know what makes me tick? Well, buckle up, because this is going to be a wild ride through the eccentric labyrinth of my mind.

I’m the kind of person who finds equal joy in curling up with a good book and splashing in the waves. One moment I’m lost in a world of magic and mythical creatures, and the next I’m elbow deep in tie-dye and crafts, planning my next masterpiece.

When I'm not chasing sunsets or hunting for hidden gems and thrift shops, I'm probably lost in a museum, digging into history and art, or trying to decipher ancient hieroglyphics (okay, maybe not the last one). I'm also a sucker for writing: I've written a book soon to be published, as well as poetry and memoir when I'm not writing my blogs!

But let’s not forget the lighter side of life. I’m all about good vibes, good music, and good food. Whether I’m in the kitchen whipping up a storm, on the dance floor losing myself to the rhythm, or simply enjoying a good old-fashioned stroll (yes I said stroll!), I'm always looking for ways to soak up life’s little pleasures.

Oh, and did I mention I’m a bit of a tech nerd? I love gadgets, gaming, and anything that promises to make my life a little easier (or more complicated, depending on the day).

So, there you have it. A whirlwind tour of my eclectic brain. If you’ve made it this far, congrats! You’ve officially earned the “Most Patient Person Ever” award.
What about you? What kind of crazy hobbies and interests do you have? Leave a comment in the forum and let's chat!
Why Name Your Biz Take Care
Creative Counseling?

“I’ll stick with you baby for a thousand years.”
~David Bowie

There are few things that my husband, Stan, loved more than David Bowie or Bon Iver, or Explosions in The Sky, and I was fortunate to be one of them. He was a soul whose light still shines brightly. His kindness, humor, and brilliance were a constant source of inspiration. His creative spirit and empathetic heart touched all who knew him. His depth and light, his altruistic nature, made the world a better place. Even now, his memory lives on, reminding us of the beauty and goodness that can be found in every moment. His celebratory green "Explosions in the Sky" shirt, emblazoned with the words "Take Care" perfectly encapsulated the simplicity and carefree nature that he brought to our lives, a reminder to take care of self and others, which is why I named our company after you as you are with me every step of the way, every day, for more than a thousand years.

I'll love you forever
~Stan to Nina, Nina to Stan
