YouTube Meditations: Your One-Stop Shop for Inner Peace (and Maybe a Cat)

Updated: Aug 18, 2024

Let's face it, meditation is all the rage. It’s like the kale of the wellness world - everyone’s talking about it, but not everyone’s actually eating it (or meditating, in this case). And while sitting cross-legged on a mountaintop sounds dreamy, let's be real: most of us are juggling work, kids, and figuring out which streaming service to binge next.

Enter YouTube: the digital oasis for everything from cat videos to, surprisingly, finding your inner zen. Who knew that a platform built for LOLs could also be a gateway to chill?

Want to know more about each type of meditation? See my other post on it! I've featured some how to tips here as well.

Determining the absolute "top" guided meditation on YouTube is quite difficult. There are millions of options, and what works for one person might not resonate with another. Factors like personal preference, meditation goals, and even the length of the meditation play a significant role.

However, Here are Some Popular Options

While I can't definitively say which is the "best," these channels and videos consistently receive high praise and viewership:

  • My Peace Of Mindfulness: This channel offers a variety of guided meditations for different needs, from stress relief to manifestation.

  • Positive Magazine Meditation: Known for calming and effective guided meditations, especially for anxiety relief.

  • Kireiki Mindfulness: Provides longer guided meditations that delve deeper into mindfulness and relaxation.

  • The Honest Guys: Offers a mix of humor and mindfulness, making meditation more accessible for some.

Finding Your Perfect Meditation

Rather than focusing on a single "top" video, I recommend exploring different options and finding what resonates with you. Consider these factors:

  • Length: Do you prefer short, focused meditations or longer, immersive experiences?

  • Focus: Are you looking to reduce stress, improve sleep, boost creativity, or something else?

  • Style: Do you prefer a calm and soothing voice, or a more energetic and upbeat approach?

  • Music and Sound: Some people prefer guided meditations with background music, while others prefer silence or nature sounds.

By experimenting with different options, you'll eventually find the perfect guided meditation to enhance your well-being.

Alright, let's get zen!

I've spent more time scrolling through YouTube than I care to admit (hey, we all have our vices), and along the way, I've stumbled upon some real gems when it comes to meditation. Think of me as your personal zen curator, here to guide you through the digital jungle of mindfulness.

So, grab your comfiest loungewear, dim the lights, and let's dive into my top picks for YouTube meditations. Trust me, your future self will thank you. If the above links become tiring (good luck and don't fall asleep unless you want to!) please take a listen to my favorites. Some are a bit out there as your therapist can be at times too, and they should entertain at the very least.

Here are some of your therapists picks other than listed above:

Yes, I hear you say, “but I can’t meditate, I mean I tried it for 5-minutes once and it didn’t work.”  Okay, great!  You found 5-minutes which means that you can again and this time armed with the knowledge that meditation is a practice and that while practicing, the stillness of your body will help the stillness of your mind even if you don’t “think” so; bad puns included free of charge with all therapeutic sessions.  I’ve seen 5-year-olds with severe ADHD meditate for 10-minutes and reap the rewards!  You can do it too.  At a minimum you are resting and at a maximum levitating, somewhere in the middle is peace and joy and that is what I wish for you. Now let's Rock and radiate!
